The following contracts are available through various
sponsoring agencies:
University Affiliated Research Center (UARC)
SDL’s UARC status enables any Government agency to quickly issue SDL a sole-source contract for work that falls within the following mission areas:
- Performing engineering and development work related to state-of-the-art, proof-of-concept, sensor systems for ground-based and air-, rocket-, and space-borne platforms
- Performing sensor experiment data collection and analysis
- Investigating new sensor systems and participating in the early stages of future MDA space sensor technology
- Transitioning scientific data and technology to Government and non-Government agencies
In order to accomplish the efforts required, activities may also include sensor system research, development, engineering, prototype fabrication, testing, calibration, and data dissemination, as well as management activities including international cooperation and technical advisory support.

NRL - Advanced Ground, Air, Space, Systems Integration (AGASSI)
The objective of this contract is to provide research support in areas of advanced space, airborne, and ground support systems including software and advanced technologies (including digital processing, compression, and control, analog systems, power, communications, command and telemetry, radio frequency/optical sensor payloads and electromechanical systems/support). The technical scope of work for SENSIAC contract is for the following types of efforts:
- Conduct studies and analytical efforts concerning all aspects of information pertaining to Military Sensing Technology (MST)

The technical scope of work for the SR&T IDIQ includes research and development, testing and fielding of surveillance, reconnaissance and targeting systems.

- Processing algorithms that aid or accomplish some degree of Automatic Target Recognition (ATR)

Target IR Signatures
Funding agencies can utilize this contract to have SDL conduct lab experiments, field measurements and computer models to investigate the infrared signatures of targets in the atmosphere and space in order to improve object identification and tracking in the hyperspectral imagery.
