Instruments flown in space are susceptible to radio frequency (RF) fields generated by the spacecraft RF and power systems. SDL uses a combination of onsite facilities and subcontractors to perform EMI/EMC testing on all space instruments to ensure that the spacecraft environment will not degrade the electronic systems in any way.
