System Calibration Planning

Calibration planning should begin early during the instrument design phase to ensure the design can accommodate the measurement methods of an efficient calibration approach. SDL’s calibration planning includes gathering and filtering information, performing analyses and trade-off studies, and creating test plans that maximize the sensor performance information obtained within the budget and schedule constraints of the program.

The WISE cryogenically-cooled infrared telescope provided a complete stellar infrared map more than 1,000 times more detailed than previous surveys.

GIFTS
